User Tracking upgrade

In response to many requests from customers working in Core Laboratories and multi-user environments, we introduced User Tracking (Cat. No. 653127), an upgrade for BD CFlow Plus and BD CFlow Sampler software. Once installed, unique user names and passwords can be created for each person operating the BD Accuri C6. The system administrator can add, edit or delete as many users as needed. In addition ensuring that only authorized users have access to the flow cytometer, User Tracking records how long each operator uses the software, by creating an entry into a log that records the time when signing-in and when exiting the program. By importing the log into spreadsheet programs, billing reports can be easily generated.

The administrator can add new users, delete existing users, and change the admin password.

When users access or leave BD CFlow, an entry is made in the userUsage Log. The userUsage log is a text file that can be viewed in Notepad or copied into Microsoft Excel as a comma delimited file. In addition to the date and time each person logged into and out of BD CFlow, the serial number of the BD Accuri C6 used for the session is recorded. In this case, the serial number of the BD Accuri C6 is 2672. Multiuser or Core Laboratories often use this information to track instrument usage and bill for client’s time spent on the flow cytometer.
